Every girl wants to be able to draw a beautiful rose flower. Some of you may have tried drawing a rose already but it didn't turn out as great as you expected. The rose bud has a many petals which are very difficult to draw correctly. There are many lessons how to draw a rose bud, I offer you my version. After this lesson, we will be able to draw a rose bud easily and realistically.

Step 1

To begin, let's remember that a rose is composed of a many petals that are adjacent to each other. That is the most challenging part of our drawing. So let's draw a simple outline - a circle (not necessarily a perfect circle) and divide it. Such markings will help you to draw a rose bud more correctly. Staying within the circle, we will draw rose petals in the following steps.

Step 2

Now we'll add into the circle the first contours of the rose petals. The vertical and horisontal lines will help you to do it right.

Step 3

You are almost done the most important step to drawing and now we need to work on further details pertaining to the petals.

Step 4

Now we need to add the the last part of the petals and finish drawing a rosebud.

Step 5

At first, erase the initial sketches of the circle and the straight lines. If you want, draw a stem and leaves.

Step 6

You can add shadows to the petals where the light does not hit the flower directly with pencil. I painted the rose bud using the one red colored pencil, you can use other colors. Rosebuds come in different colors and many of them have the unusual shades.

Step 7
